Enco formulates in Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rican and wider Caribbean market, so the products are developed for the conditions we paint in: heat, sustained humidity, heavy rain and salt exposure.
The range covers architectural acrylics, floor and traffic coatings, anticorrosive enamels, wood products, roof sealants and related construction sundries. Colour is mixed from a palette of more than 2,500.
The four below are the ones we carry in depth. They are our main Enco products rather than the full line — if you need something else from the range, ask and we will order it in.
Stock moves week to week, so this is a description of the kinds of surface we hold rather than a list of what is on the floor today. Call ahead if you are travelling for something specific.
100% acrylic three-in-one for interior or exterior use. An elastomeric film that acts as paint, primer and waterproofer in a single product, intended for walls dealing with leaks and humidity. Suited to rendered exteriors that have been letting water through.
Ultra-premium 100% acrylic, paint and primer in one, for interior or exterior use. Stain blocking with anti-fungal and anti-microbial additives, and the highest colour retention in the line, which suits walls in full sun. Tested to ASTM D1308.
Ultra-premium 100% acrylic two-in-one for interiors, at zero VOC. Low enough in odour to use in an occupied bedroom or nursery, and washable once cured. Tested to ASTM D2486, D522 and D4828.
Waterborne direct-to-metal enamel that goes onto bare metal without a primer and is touch dry in about fifteen minutes. A high-gloss porcelain finish for burglar-proofing, railings, gates and roofing sheet; it can also be used on wood and concrete. Tested to ASTM E-70.

A paint-and-primer saves a separate priming coat on a sound, previously painted surface. It does not replace washing off chalk and salt, letting a damp wall dry, or filling and sanding. Bare masonry, chalky exteriors and glossy trim still need a dedicated primer.
Integra 3X on the outside face of a wall stops water getting in. Applied to the inside of a wall that is already wet, it has to resist water pushing outward and will eventually lift. Address the source and coat the exposed face.
Jet Dry DTM removes the need for a primer, not for surface preparation. Loose rust, mill scale and oil have to come off, since the film can only adhere to what is underneath. On heavily corroded steel, take it back to bright metal for a full-life finish.
The rates below are data-sheet figures for smooth, primed, previously painted walls. Bare block, stucco and heavy texture can take 20 to 30% more, and a strong colour change may need a third coat. Work out quantities on the paint calculator and allow extra for the substrate.
